Faktor-Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Kebiasaan Berpantang Makanan Pada Ibu Nifas
Adequate nutrition is needed during the puerperium to fulfill maternal and infant nutrition. If nutrition is inadequate, it will affect infant nutrition fulfillment and the recovery period during post partum, one of the obstacles to fulfilling these nutrients is the habitude of taboo from food. This study to determine the factors associated with the habitude of taboo from food in post partum. The design of this study usesed cross sectional method, with an accidental sampling technique. A total sample of 46 postpartum who a habitude of taboo from food during the puerperium in the Polak Pisang health center. This study uses univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using the chi-square test. The result of the statistic show that the research variables related to the habitude of taboo from food for postpartum were: knowledge (ρ value = 0.002), number of children (ρ value = 0.020), and ethnicity / culture (ρ value = 0.027). Research variables that were not related of taboo from food in postpartum mothers were: economic income (ρ value = 0.413), education level (ρ value = 0.403), and information (ρ value = 0.077). It is recommended that nurses or health workers should be proactive in providing counseling to postpartum mothers and families regarding the nutritional needs of postpartum mothers to support their health and form milk production.
