Struktur Komunitas Perifiton Epilitic Dan Indeks Kualitas Air Di Perairan Sungai Kampar Desa Merangin Kecamatan Kuok Kabupaten Kampar
Ecologically, periphyton community structure can be used to identify water quality of a river. To understand the condition of water quality of the Kampar River based on periphyton community, a research was conducted from May to June 2017.Water sampling is done at 5 point sampling once a week with 3 repetitions. Water quality parameters measured are temperature, brightness, turbidity, current velocity, TSS, TDS, pH, DO, BOD5, Nitrate, and Phosphate. Periphyton observation was performed using SRCC method. While water quality analysis is done by WQI-NSF method. Results shown that there were 5 classes of epileptic periphitons, consisting of 37 species, including Bacilliophyceae (17 species), Cholorophyceae class (15 species), Class Cyanophyceae (3 types), Dinophyceae Class (1 type) and Euglenophyceae Class (1 type ). The water quality parameters are as follows: temperature: 28.8-30.5 0C, brightness: 0.37-0.68 m, turbidity: 4.47-6.06 NTU, current velocity: 0.48-0.57 m / s, tss: 7,6-8,6 mg / L, tds: 17,5-31,0 mg / L, pH: 5, DO: 3,7-5,1 mg / L, BOD5: 2 , 4-3,4 mg / L, Nitrate: 0,062-0,106 mg / L, and Phosphate: 0,115-0,206 mg / L. Based on the WQI-NSF can be concluded that the water quality of Kampar River Merangin Village ranges from 60.82-68.07 and is classified as moderately polluted.
