The research aims to know the influence of the combination of compost and NPK fertilizer, the main factors of compost and NPK fertilizer and get the best treatment. The research has been done in farmer’s oil palm land in Jalan Sri Palas, Kecamatan Rumbai, Riau, using factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The first factor: compost with 3 levels consist of without applying compost, rice straw compost (rice straw + market waste + decomposer = 50% + 50% + 0.5%) 7 kg per plant and TKKS compost (TKKS + restaurant waste + decomposer = 50% + 50% + 0.5%) 7 kg per plant. Second factor: NPK fertilizer with 3 levels consist of without NPK fertilizer, NPK 1 kg per plant and NPK 2 kg per plant. The result of research shows that the combination of compost and NPK fertilizer can increase the growth of immature oil palm on increase in stem circumference, increase in midrib length, and increase in the number of midribs. The applying main factors of compost and NPK fertilizer can raise the plant height increase, increase in stem circumference, increase in midrib length, increase in the number of midribs and leaf P content. The applying of TKKS compost and rice straw compost with ½ NPK fertilizer (1 kg per plant) can raise the plant height increase and increase in the number of midribs. The applying of 7 kg of rice straw compost (rice straw + market waste + decomposer = 50% + 50% + 0.5%) and 7 kg TKKS compost (TKKS + restaurant waste + decomposer = 50% + 50% + 0.5%) can reduce the use of NPK fertilizer ½ NPK fertilizer (1 kg per plant).
