Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Paku Polypodiaceae Dan Pteridaceae Berdasarkan Karakter Fitokimia Di Kawasan Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau
The diversity of family Polypodiaceae and family of Pteridaceae based on phytochemical characters In the area of Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University Riau has never been studied. The purpose of this study was to identify fern species from Polypodiaceae and Pteridaceae family at the area of Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University of Riau, and to examined the phytochemical compounds. The study was conducted from November 2018 to January 2019 using an exploration method to collect the specimens. The results showed that there were 8 fern species belonging to 2 families, namely 6 species of family Polypodiaceae and 2 species of family Pteridaceae. Phytochemical test results show that the most abundant compounds found in leaf are alkaloids that found in all species. The phenol group that is commonly found is flavonoids in Pyrrosia angustata, Pyrrosia lanceolata, Pyrrosia niphoboloides, Phymatosorus scolopendria and Drynaria sparsisora. The terpene group that is commonly found is steroids in Pyrrosia angustata, Pyrrosia piloselloides, Phymatosorus scolopendria, Drynaria sparsisora, Vittaria elongata dan Vittaria ensiformis. The most common compounds found in rhizomes are alkaloids that found in all species except Vittaria ensiformis. Phenol groups (tannins) only in Pyrrosia lanceolata, Phymatosorus scolopendria and flavonoids in Pyrrosia niphoboloides. The terpen group (steroids and saponins) is not detected in rhizomes.
