Persepsi Dan Sikap Masyarakat Pedesaan Terhadap Produk Sagu Sebagai Bahan Pangan Alternatif Di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti
The purpose of this research are : (1) To determine the characteristics of community (age, education level, number of dependents, income and access to information) in Kepulauan Meranti Regency; (2) analyzing the perceptions of rural communities on sago products as an alternative food in Kepulauan Meranti Regency; (3) analyzing the effect of characteristic on the perceptions of rural communities regarding sago products as alternative food; (4) analyzing the attitudes of rural communities to sago products as alternative food. The research was conducted by survey method and sampling using the Sampling Cluster technique and obtained as many as 100 samples divided into three regions, namely Selatpanjang city, Alai Village, and Nipah Sendanu Village. Data analyze using Likert's Summated Ratting (SLR) Scale, Multiple Linear Regression and Multiatribut Fishbein.
The results showed that the respondents were mostly in the age range of 35-44 years (51%), last educated junior high school (37%), with the category of the number of small family members (≤4 people) (90%), having income with categories between Rp. 3,000,000
