Pengaruh Penambahan Tepung Kunyit (Curcuma Domestica Val) Dalam Pakan Terhadap Total Eritrosit Ikan Jambal Siam (Pangasius Hypophthalmus)
The research was conducted in April until June 2018 at the Laboratory of Parasites and Fish Diseases, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The aim of this research was to understand the effect of turmeric flour (Curcuma domestica Val) in feed on total erythrocytes of Pangasius hypophthalmus and challenged Aeromonas hydrophila. The method used was an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with one factor and five treatments. Feeding treatment plus turmeric flour is negative control (Feeding without given turmeric flour and not challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila), Positive control (Feeding without given turmeric flour and challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila), P1 (Addition of flour turmeric on feed at a dose of 0,5g/kg), P2 (dose 0,7 g/kg) and P3 (dose 0,9 g/kg). The results shown that feeding whith adding turmeric flour (Curcuma domestica Val) during 30 days of maintenance had an effect on the total erythrocytes of Pangasius hypophthalmus. The best treatments of this research was P2 with total of erythrocyte was 288,67 x 104 cells/mm3, hematocrit values was 33,67%, and hemoglobin levels of was 9,67 g/dl Absolute weight growth of was 12,10 gand survival rate was 100%. Based on the data obtained it can be concluded that the addition of turmeric flour in feed can increase the immune system of Pangasius hypophthalmus.
