Gambaran Kualitas Tidur Lansia Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Kota Pekanbaru
Poor sleep quality in the elderly will have a negative impact on the quality of life on the elderly. Poor sleep quality is characterized by the emergence of anxiety, irritability, disturbed concentration, and stress. This study aims to identify the description of sleep quality on the elderly with descriptive research design using a cross sectional approach with a purposive sampling method involving 73 respondents. The measuring instrument used was the standard Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. Analysis of the data used to be univariate analysis. The results showed the majority of respondents aged between 60-69 years as many as 43 people (58.9%), women respondend as many as 41 people (56.2%), the majority of marriage status widower / widow as many as 41 people (56.2%), PSQI component in the majority of sleep duration was in the very poor category as many as 33 people (45.2), the majority of activity in daytime dysfunction was in the less category as many as 37 people (50.7%), the majority of respondents never used sleeping pills as many as 73 people (100%), and the picture of the quality of elderly sleep is mostly poor as many as 56 people ( 76.7%). It is recommended for the elderly to improve the quality of sleep for the better.
