Efektivitas Pendidikan Kesehatan Berbasis The Health Belief Model Pada Penderita Hipertensi
Hypertension is a chronic disease of persistent increase in blood pressure for a long time. Health education based on the health belief model emphasize perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits and perceived barriers against a diasease that can threaten their health,so hypertension patients need to be given knowledge started of the concept of disease to how to overcome with hypertension. This research was conducted in PuskesmasPayungSekakiPekanbaru area using pre eksperiment research design with one group pretest-posttest desaign. Total samples of the research were 30 people which was used purposive sampling technique by considering inclusion criteria. The measuring tool used in this study is a questionnaire that has been tested for its validity and reability and observation sheet. Analysis used used wasunivariate analysis and bivariate analysis with t Dependen test and Wilcoxon test. The result showed differences in scores of knowledge, perception and behavior after being given health education based on the health belief model with a p value (0,000)< α (0,05). Health education based on the health belief model about hypertension can improve knowledge, perception and behavior of hypertension patients in overcome with hypertension. The result of this study are expected to be one of nursing intervention improving the knowledge, perception and behavior of hypertension patients in in overcome with hypertension
