Hubungan Durasi Penggunaan Gadget Terhadap Perkembangan Sosial Anak Prasekolah
Excessive use of gadgets in preschool children could affected their development, especially children's social development. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of the use of gadgets to the social development of preschool. This research used descriptive correlation design with cross sectional method. Sample of this research were 109 respondents and used purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire for variable duration of use of gadgets and a Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS) questionnaire for variable child social development. The data analysis used was the chi-square test. Researchers found that children with long duration of gadget use with low social development were 37 children (68.5%), children with normal gadget usage duration with moderate social development namely 35 children (63,6%), and children with duration of use normal gadget with high social development, 11 children (20.0%). The results of the statistical test found that there was a significant relationship between the duration of the use of gadgets to the social development of preschool children (p value 0,000; alpha 0.05).
