Evaluasi Program Pengembangan Pemasaran Pariwisata Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi (Studi Kasus Air Terjun Guruh Gemurai)
As an autonomous region of Kuantan Singingi district, it is also faced with the exercise of authority, regulating and organizing activities or activities of its own government. So the local government of Kuantan Singingi Regency is trying to explore the potential of the region. The tourism sector has the potential to contribute or foreign exchange to the economy, the size of the contribution is determined by the large number of tourists visiting
The purpose of this research is to find out the evaluation of tourism marketing development programs in Kuantan Singingi District (a case study of Guruh Gemurai waterfall) and factors that influence it. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, primary data obtained from interviews and observations and secondary data obtained from the collection of data and from documents.
The results suggest that the tourism and cultural services have carried out several activities in the marketing program, namely the promotion of tourism in the archipelago, the expo route, the establishment of tourism information boards, the selection of kabipaen tourist resorts and provinces, and the promotion of tourism through print media. In carrying out the activity the researchers evaluated whether the activity provided benefits to the community. In conclusion, this activity provides benefits in the form of opening employment opportunities, earning income for the regional treasury, making the regency Kuantan singingi of Alternatif tourism place, and ironing business opportunities for the community.
