Komunikasi Politik Drs.H. IRWAN M. Si (StudiKasus Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Periode 2015 - 2020)
The shifting of the local election pattern through representation towards direct regional elections, placing the position of political marketing strategy so important in the current democratic expectations, because in the local elections to be known, supported and then elected, regional head candidates & regional deputy candidates are required to approach its constituents.
The type of this research is qualitative research, the subjects of the study consisted of the Regent of Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Chair of the Party, Community Leaders and Chair of the Success Team. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. This study uses data reduction data analysis techniques, data presentation and conclusion drawing.
The results of this study indicate that Irwan Nasir's style of political communication in the regional head election campaign namely verbal communication has good vocabulary, slips humor into communication and has the ability to regulate speed when communicating. Non-verbal communication is when you are together using Malay and batik clothing, friendly to the community, focusing on the audience during the campaign and relatively no distance from the community when campaigning with the voting community. The next strategy is to strengthen institutions, namely by strengthening teams and parties by establishing and strengthening existing organizations in each sub-district and sub-district, for example the PPP party with my organizations which consists of the Indonesian Youth Development Movement (GMPI), the Islamic Student Movement Indonesia (GMII), the Young Ka'bah Force (AMK), the Ka'bah Youth Movement (GMK) and Women's Union Development (WPP) by consolidating and forming.
