Uji Aktivitas Enzim Kitinase Trichoderma Virens Lbkurcc71 Dan Lbkurcc85 Endofit Lokal Riau Sebagai Agens Hayati Terhadap Ganoderma Sp. Pat. Penyebab Busuk Batang Atas (Upper Stem Rot) Kelapa Sawit
Upper stem rot (USR) is one of diseases that are a problem in oil palm cultivation and disrupt growth and reduce the production of fresh fruit bunches. This research was conducted to determine the chitinase activities production of Trichoderma virens LBKURCC71 and LBKURCC85 endophytic and it’s potential as biological agents of upper stem rot disease in oil palm caused by Ganoderma sp. qualitatively and quantitatively. This research has been conducted in the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Riau, the Laboratory of Research of Enzyme, Fermentation and Biomolecular, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru, Riau and conducted from April to May 2019. The research was conducted experimentally and consist of chitinase enzyme activities test on fungi T. virens LBKURCC71 and LBKURCC85 endophyte qualitatively using clear zone method and quantitatively using Nelson Somogyi method along with hyperparasitic test of T. virens LBKURCC71 and LBKURCC85 on Ganoderma sp. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in form of table’s and figures. The result of the research showed that qualitative test through PDA medium and chitin showed that T. virens LBKURCC71 and LBKURCC85 could produce chitinase. The production of chitinase activities of isolate T. virens LBKURCC71 and LBKURCC85 endophyte was 0,0072±0,0053 U.mL-1 dan 0,0151±0,0073 U.mL-1. The hyperparasitic mechanism of each fungal isolate T. virens LBKURCC71 and LBKURCC85 endophytic against Ganoderma sp. is twist and continued lysis in cell wall by chitinase activities.
