Transformasi Nilai-Nilai Budaya Pada Ritual Bakar Tongkang Di Bagansiapiapi Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Provinsi Riau
The Bagansiapiapi Fuel Barge Burning Tradition is an annual ritual performed by people of Chinese descent in the Bagansiapiapi area, Rokan Hilir, Riau Province. With the consequence of the declining understanding of the younger generation of Chinese people towards Go Ge Cap Lak because they see it as part of their ancestral/ancestral belief traditions. The younger generation of the Bagansiapiapi Chinese community only sees from the side of a tourism icon in Rokan Hilir regency, Riau Province. The sacredness of Bakar Barge in Go Ge Cap Lak for the older generation is a manifestation of the genius of the ancestors who are part of their identity. This studi aims to determine the stages of Bakar Barge tradition as part of Chinese culture in Bagansiapiapi, Rokan Hilir Regency, coveringthe history, meaning, philosophy of tradition, which was passed down from generations of generation.
This study uses a qualitative method with a constructivist approach. The object of this study is Transformation of culture values in Barge Fuel rites in Bagansiapiapi, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province and with research subjects that meet the research needs of five people, data collection techniques in this study use obsevation interview and documentation. The data analysis technique of this research uses the Huberman and Miles Interactive analysis model.
The results of this study indicate that the transformation of cultural values in barge burn rituals is divided into three namely Invention, Difusion and Consequences. Invention in the form of an idea that is poured into a specific problem solving activity in the form of dissemination of cultural elements from one place to another, and while the consequences are changes in changes that occur in the social system as a result of adoption of rejection invention.
