Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kapra (Kaitkan, Alami, Pikirkan, Rundingkan, Aplikasikan) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik Di Kelas XI MIPA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru Pada Pokok Bahasan Kesetimbangan ION Dan pH Larutan Penyangga
Increasing students critical thinking skills in the buffer solution materials has been done by applying the KAPRA learning model at SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. The research method uses experimental research with a randomized control group pretest – postest design of two homogeneous classes. Two homogeneous classes were randomly selected to be sampled in the study. Obtained class XI MIPA 3 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 4 as the control class. KAPRA learning model is applied in the experimental class and the scientific approach in applied in the control class. The data in this study were collected based on test techniques in the form of repetition values of the previous material, namely hydrolysis, pretest value and postest value. The inatruments in the study included syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), relevant chemistry class XI textbooks, Studen Worksheet (LKPD), evaluation questions and questions about the pretest/postest. The data obtained were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test and N-Gain test. After appliying the KAPRA learning model the critical thinking ability of students of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru increased by 5,89 with the N-Gain value beginin the medium category of 0,52.
