Analisis Hidrologi Berbasis Data Sesame Untuk Optimalisasi Pengembangan Komoditi Ramah Gambut Pada Lahan Tora Hgu 09 Di Kabupaten Siak
Peat restoration to restore the ecological function of peatlands and people's welfare by the Peat Restoration Agency through the 3R approach, namely rewetting, revegetation, and revitalization. In Siak Regency there are 10.000 ha of TORA peatlands originating from the release of PT Makarya Eka Guna's Cultivation Rights. 2.000 ha have been distributed in HGU 09 managed by the government. Based on data from the Peat Restoration Agency most of the TORA land is in the peatland area. Therefore, the optimization of 2.000 ha of peatlands that will be used for peat-friendly commodities based on water balance by maintaining the water level of wetting needs remains -0,4 m. Groundwater level fluctuations are predicted using the regression method. The results obtained from this study are regression analyzes using three data length scenarios, namely 2 months, 3 months and 4 months to find out which time period can represent the hydrological conditions in the field. The results showed that the regression analysis with a data length of 2 months gave the best predictive results of the ground water level with a correlation coefficient of 0,942. Furthermore, the results of the water balance analysis of agricultural and estate crops scenarios compared with the water balance analysis of the existing conditions contained a decrease in groundwater level due to the influence of water needs of agricultural and plantation crops by 0,034% and 0,101%. The alternative commodities are rainfed lowland rice, corn, pineapple, cassava, sago, coconut, areca nut, sugar palm and coffee can live in accordance with government regulations if planted in surplus months, namely in the period February, March, April, October, and December. The results of analysis of ground water level in this study are generally located 0,4 m below the surface of the land. Therefore, to maintain groundwater level at 0,4 m, it is necessary to do water management with canal blocking so that peat-friendly commodity crops can grow in the water deficit month at the HGU 09 location.
