Alat Ukur Panjang Bayi Berbasis Linear Encoder
Babies are 0-12 month individuals characterized by growth. The process of measuring the baby is done manually with a long time. Therefore, to measure the baby's length a linear encoder-based baby length meter is equipped with an LCD. LCD on this device is used to display the baby's length measurement. This tool is equipped with Arduino Uno as a microcontroller. This tool uses Linear Encoder as a digital sensor. Linear Encoder functions to change position into digital data with a certain format. Linear Encoder uses a unit detector consisting of a series of infrared transmitters and infrared receivers, namely photodiodes (receivers). The signal condition from the sensor output will be processed by Arduino Uno. The signal conditioning circuit uses an integrated AND gate based on CMOS. The measurement results will be displayed by the LCD. This tool is equipped with acrylic as a measurement medium. Each box in acrylic will be given a black color which has a value of 0 or white which has a value of 1 following the gray code. This acrylic uses a measurement scale with a resolution of 1cm in accordance with the ruler so that it does not produce an error value. This testing tool is done by measuring 2 different lengths of the baby. Infants measured were 6 and 12 months old. In addition, this tool will also find out the condition of the baby according to normal limits that can be used as a reference as a sign whether the baby is in good nutrition or poor nutrition. From the results of testing the system has succeeded in measuring the length of infants aged 6 and 12 months respectively is 71cm and 80cm.
