Tinjauan Kebutuhan Fasilitas Pejalan Kaki Pada Ruas Jalan Riau Pekanbaru

The existence of pedestrians in developing urban activity centers such as office centers, education centers, shopping centers, government centers and public facilities. Pedestrians as a result of community activities both social and economic that have the right to public services, a direct relationship between pedestrians and road users such as drivers of transportation vehicles then triggers conflict-prone events such as accidents and congestion so that both parties must be facilitated as provision of transportation infrastructure. Pedestrian facilities are all complementary buildings provided for pedestrians to provide services for the sake of smoothness, security, comfort and safety for pedestrians. One of the most congested roads in Pekanbaru is Riau road which has a road length of 2.57 km. This road is a 2-lane 2-lane 2-lane Collector road (2/2 UD) located in Pekanbaru City. On the Riau road, precisely in front of Ciputra Seraya Mall Pekanbaru which is adjacent to the Novotel Hotel, Fox Harris Hotel and several shops, often experience obstacles to cross for pedestrians due to the density of vehicles in the shopping center area. From the survey results, on the Riau road section facilities for pedestrians still do not meet the requirements, such as zebra crossings that require 9 crossings but only 1 zebra crossing that still shows zebra markers and 8 zebra crossings are no longer visible at all. There are only 28 road signs available, and there are 33 signposts on the Riau road, lighting points have met the standard. While waders are not on.
