Menentukan Degree Distribution Optimal Pada Multi User Detection (Mud)-Based Coded Random Access (Cra)
ABSTRACT
This thesis proposes an optimal of degree distribution for Coded Random Access (CRA) exploiting Multi User Detection (MUD) with capability of . The CRA with MUD K=3 can support the fifth telecommunication generation (5G) networks and massive machine type communications, including the Internet-of-Things (IoT). The optimization is performed with an objective function of maximizing the offered traffic ( ) subject to the degree distribution having only two terms to keep the computational complexity of the system low. The optimization is performed by the help of extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) chart, a visual tool describing the behavior of the wireless networks. With the proposed optimal degree distribution, the maximum offered traffic is found theoretically to be 2.736 packet/slot, while the practical throughput obtained by a series of computer simulations is 2.45 packet/slot. The results in thesis are expected to provide contributions to the further development of 5G and IoT.
