ABSTRACT
Vegetable oil is a useful chemical substance as of many ways are done to get the oil. Vegetable oil can be obtained from tree’s seed specially rubber seed. Rubber seeds contain oil inside which can be extracted and used as an alternative vegetable oil. The purpose of this research is to extract the oil contained in rubber seed by using solvent extraction method using n-Hexan as solvent in this research the rendement obtained from the research is 21,5 %. Then the oil obtained tested its physico-chemical properties. The test resulted the physico-chemical properties of rubber seed oil in the form of % ALB 17,64, Density 0,938 gram / ml, Viscosity 16,85 cP, Water Content 1.58%, Acid Numbers 34.16 mg KOH / g oil, the results of GCMS shows the main compound in our oil are Palmitic Acid, Stearate Acid, Oleic Acid, and Linoleic Acid.
