Kaji Eksperimental Variasi Temperatur Dan Putaran Pada Pengelasan Friction Stir Welding Menggunakan Material Polypropylene (Pp)
ABSTRACT
Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid state joining welding technology that can be used to connect different materials, the type of connection on the FSW that will be carried out is the butt joint type. The parameters to be used are tool rotation speed during the welding process, and tool design. The machine used in this welding process is ACIERA type universal milling machine F3-10018. In this study the use of different temperatures and turns on each specimen, the material used for the tool is AISI 4140 steel with a pin diameter of 6mm flat welding position, the temperature used is 70 ° c, 75 ° c, 80 ° c, and rpm rotation used 400 rpm, 500 rpm, 700 rpm, in the implementation of welding using the FSW (Friction Stir Welding) welding method. Then the tensile value is taken in the welding area. From the results of the study, the value of the tensile strength at a temperature of 75 ° c with a rotation of 700 rpm is higher than the temperature of 70 ° c and 80 ° c.
