Pengaruh Natrium Tripolyphosphate (Na5p3o10) Terhadap Sifat Mekanik Beton Cor Di Dalam Air (Under-Water Concrete)
ABSTRACT
Compressive strength and split tensile strength are important parameters of concrete strength. This resarch was conducted to examine the effect of adding Sodium Tripolyphosphate (Na5P3O10) on the mechanical properties of Under-Water Concrete (UWC). Variation of Na5P3O10 used is by ading 5%, 10% and 15% of cement weight, and adding stone crush as filler at 10% of fine aggregate weight. The value of compressive strength and split tensile strength were obtained by testing in the laboratory with cylindrical concrete specimens 10 x 20 cm. This result showes the lowest value of compressive strength and split tensile strength occurs in the 5% Na5P3O10 variation was 5.96 MPa. Compressive strength and split tensile higest value is in the 10% Na5P3O10 variation was 12.13 MPa, however there was a decreaase in the concrete variation of 15% Na5P3O10 was 9.27 MPa. The result showed that precentage of Na5P3O10 5% getting decrease the compressive strength and split tensile strength because it increase concrete segregation, whereas presentage of Na5P3O10 15% actually decrease the fresh concrete workability, so that fresh concrete can’t compact itself properly. This research showed that further Na5P3O10 can be used as Anti Washout Admixture (AWA) in Under-Water Concrete (UWC), but requires Self Compacting Concrete particular mix design, so that the resulting concrete reaches it strength design.
