ABSTRACT
Induction motors applied in many industrial and commercial fields. This is supported for induction motors have a robust construction and durable so that the motor is pretty easy maintenance, as well as many applied as a means of driving a vehicle. Induction motors can be used as a means of driving the generation of renewable energy such as wind power, hydropower, and also driving on electric bikes. In this thesis, the design of an induction motor is used as the driving electric bicycles. Induction motor which will be designed to have a parameter that is 6 pole, 50 Hz, 30 volts, 100 watts, with a speed of 1000 rpm. The design of this motor is derived from the induction motor 2 pole, 50 Hz, 220 volts, 100 watts, with a speed of 3000 rpm and design modifications performed only on the stator winding course, does not change the motor core.From the test results of induction motor which has been modified, the rotational speed of the motor in accordance with the design of which is 1000 rpm.
