This research into the poetry tersebab haku Melayu by Taufik Ikram Jamil is a sociological study of literature with a genetic structuralist approach. The poem caused by the Malaysian haku by Taufik Ikram Jamil was used as an object of investigation because: first, the poem was made by a renowned author of Riau, a writer who dared to pave the way to portray an event based on of the reality of events in society in his work. This poem is a social background of the injustices experienced by the people of Riau, so it is relevant to be studied with the theory of genetic structuralism that determines the birth of the author's views in the poems caused by Malay haku. The focus of this study, namely (1) Mandate in the collection of poems caused by the first edition of Malay haku by Taufik Ikram Jamil that reflects the problems of the character because of the relationship between the characters and the environment, (2) The collective subject of the authors related to Melayu sakti tersebab haku, (3) the humanitarian facts of the Riau community that determine the birth of poetry as a result of Malay haku, and (4) the worldview of the author of Riau society in a collection of poems caused by Malay haku.
