Produksi Bioalkohol Dari Limbah Lumpur Primer Pulp Dan Kertas Dengan Fermentasi Menggunakan Bakteri Clostridium Acetobutylicum
ABSTRACT
Bioalcohol is one type of biofuel whose needs have increased from year to year. This research was conducted by utilizing the primary waste of pulp and paper that has the potential as a raw material for producing bioalcohol due to its high organic content, especially cellulose. The purpose of this study was to obtain the optimum conditions of bioalcohol production with pH variations and the effect of the use of cellulase enzymes in the hydrolysis process. The research was carried out in three stages. The first stage of the initial treatment is drying and grinding. The second stage of the hydrolysis process was carried out at 50oC for 72 hours according to variations of addition and without the addition of 40 m cellulase enzymes and the third stage was fermentation using Clostridium acetobutylicum FNCC 0085 bacteria with variations in the initial pH of the fermentation media (6.0; 6.5; 7.0; 7.5) for 12 days. The parameters in this study are the residual sugar content of fermentation and bioalcohol concentration. The results showed that the optimum conditions in the hydrolysis process were obtained in the variation of the addition of 40 mL cellulase enzymes and fermentation pH 6.0 with a bioalcohol concentration of 18.15 g / L and a yield of 87.9%
