Perancangan, Pembuatan Dan Eksperimen Alat Suseptibilitas Magnetik Cairan Menggunakan Metode Quincke
Research on the design, fabrication of magnetic susceptibility equipment based on Quincke method have been carried out. The design of the the equipment was drawed using Corel Draw X7 software. The fabrication of the equipment solid iron plate material, axles solid iron, copper, connections, and U meniscus pipes. The magnetic induction of the solenoid of 3000 turns, length 10 cm and diameter 10 cm values was meaured using magnetic probe pasco PS-2162. The magnetic induction of the solenoid was measured as a funcion of applied current of value 0,1 A to 1 A with a fixed distance of 1 mm. In order to test validity of the equipment in terms of magnetic susceptibility, then two solution were utilzed. Thw two solution are FeCl3.6H2O and MnSO4.H2O. When the electric current increases, the total magnetic value also increases. The result showed that the magnetic susceptibility value of liquid (χ) for FeCl3.6H2O solution is 14,343 x 10-5 and has a mass susceptibility (χmass) value of 31,36 x.10-9 m3/kg. FeCl3.6H2O solution is a ferromagnetic material. The magnetic susceptibility value of liquid (χ) for MnSO4.H2O solution is 1,323 x 10-5 and has a mass susceptibility (χmass) value of 11,475 x 10-9 m3/kg. MnSO4.H2O solution is a paramagnetic material.
