At present the condition of roads in Pekanbaru City is based on data from the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning of Pekanbaru City, almost 40% of the conditions are damaged. Where the damage varies from moderate damage, minor damage, or severe damage. To help the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning of Pekanbaru City in determining road improvements, it can be done with a decision support system through ranking using the TOPSIS method. Where this method will rank each alternative based on the value of the criteria (the value of the road segment) against the value of the criteria. The criteria used in this method are: daily traffic (LHR), type of city road or provincial road, good road conditions, mildly damaged road conditions, mildly damaged roads, and heavily damaged roads. After testing 5 alternatives (road sections) with 6 criteria, JL. Monitor has first rank, with a preference value of 0.5398, second place is JL. Tengku Maharani with a preference value of 0.4294, the third is JL. Mangga with a preference value of 0.3909, fourth is JL. Dwi Guna with a preference of 0.3872 and the last order is the JL. Lingkar TVRI with a preference value of 0.3605.
