Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Fisika Pada Materi Optik Di Kelas X Smk Abdurrab Pekanbaru
Abstract : Reciprocal teaching is a learning model for the student that uses four self-understanding strategies. It includes material summarizing, compiling and completing questions, explaining the acceptant knowledge, and lastly predicting the next question. The main purpose of this study was to determine the difference of student's understanding improvement of learning concepts between the classes which implementing reciprocal teaching and the classes that applying conventional teaching model in Abdurrab Vocational School Pekanbaru. The population in this study was 130 students spread over five classes and the sample was taken by simple random sampling to obtain 2 classes with 52 students as the research samples. The research instrument was the test of understanding the concept in the form of the pretest and posttest which were arranged based on the understanding of the concepts in translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. The test was in the form of written test which were contained multiple choices reasoned with 4 choices totaling 15 questions. Furthermore, the test results were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis with data collection techniques on the understanding of concepts that obtained through the pretest and posttest scores. The outcomes of this study provided information that students of tenth grade in Abdurrab Vocational School Pekanbaru have a difference in increasing understanding of learning concepts. The average score of the understanding learning concept after the implementation of reciprocal teaching was 82.44 with a high category. While, the average score of concept understanding in the control class was 59.68 with a low category.
