Analisis Literasi Keuangan Mahasiswa Penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi Fakultas Keguruan Dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau
Financial literacy as a form of ownership of knowledge and the ability to use financial knowledge to achieve prosperity is important for everyone, especially for those with limited financial resources. Bidikmisi Scholarship recipient students are students who come from families with low economic levels. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that Bidikmisi scholarship recipients have good financial knowledge.
This study aims to analyze the financial literacy of Bidikmisi scholarship recipients in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the University of Riau. The indicators used in analyzing financial literacy are financial knowledge and financial behavior in terms of demographic aspects in the form of gender, GPA, and Department. The total sample was 178 students taken from a population of 630 students with the Cochran technique. Data collected through quesinoner in the form of tests and questionnaires which are then analyzed descriptively and statistically.
The results showed that in general the financial knowledge of Bidikmisi scholarship recipient students was in the moderate category, and their financial behavior was in the moderate category as well. Demographic factors in the form of GPA make a significant difference to financial knowledge, while gender and majors do not create significant differences in financial knowledge. Demographic factors in the form of gender, GPA, and majors do not create significant differences in financial behavior. Differences in the level of financial knowledge do not create a significant difference in financial behavior.
