The aims of this research are to analyze the concentration of gasses and metals which are formed inside transformer oil produced from vegetable oil compared with synthetic oil; to determine the effectiveness of the use of vegetable oil as transformer oil compared with synthetic oil; to analyze various factors that affect composition changes of vegetable oil when it is used as transformer cooler; to find out the management system of transformer oil at PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia. According to the result, transformer oil produced from vegetable oil and synthetic oil showed a homogenous performance in term of quality. It means that these three different oils were able to be utilized for transformer oil. In conclusion, vegetable oil is reasonable to be used as transformer oil and has certain surplus toward environs as an alternative renewable energy.
