Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Kinerja Penyuluh Pertanian Dan Dampaknya Terhadap Produksi Padi Petani Di Kabupaten Siak

Performance of agricultural extension workers is the result of the work of extension workers in carrying out the tasks assigned to him. This study aimed to analyze the influence of the characteristics of extension, the role of extension, competence of extension and motivation of extension on the performance of agricultural extension, and analyze the performance of agricultural extension to rice production in regency Siak. The research was conducted from December to June 2017, conducted by survey method in Regency Siak consisting of Bungarayan Subdistrict, Sungai Mandau Subdistrict, Sungai Apit Subdistrict and Sabak Auh Subdistrict. The total of samples is 36 extension workers and 36 farmers. Data analysis method used in this research is multiple regression analysis.
The analysis showed that age of extension, education of extension , work experience of extension, training, large of area, amount farmers groups targeted, interaction with farmers, role of extension, competence of extension, and motivation of extension gives effect to the performance extension in Regency Siak. The most significant influence is reflected on the motivation of extension , so it is advisable that the motivation of extension will improve the performance of extension in Regency Siak. The rice production in Siak Regency is influenced by the performance of extension workers seen from the implementation of extension, evaluation and reporting. Meanwhile, the location of the task has no significant effect on the performance of agricultural extension workers. Preparation of extension has not significantly influenced rice production. The rice production in Regency Siak is influenced by the performance of extension workers seen from the implementation of extension, evaluation and reporting of extension. Meanwhile, the location of the task has no significant effect on the performance of agricultural extension workers. The preparation of extension has no significant effect to the rice production.
