This study aims to determine and analyze the evaluation of waste management policy in district TampanPekanbaru City and to analyze the factors that become obstacles in waste management in district TampanPekanbaru City. The type of this research is descriptive study of case study, where descriptive research is research which gives picture of observed phenomenon with more detail. This descriptive research aims to create a painting or description of the facts and characteristics of a particular population or area in a systematic, factual and thorough. Data collection techniques used in this study is to use interviews and documentation related to the problems studied.
The result of the research shows that after evaluation of waste management policy in district TampanPekanbaru city can be quite good, although there are still shortages here, such as the socialization of waste management policies to the public, then the provision of hygiene facilities such as temporary garbage disposal and also the issue of public awareness attitude to protect the environment. Factors that impeded the implementation of waste management policy in KecamatanTampanPekanbaru City, among others: socialization factor rules applicable to the community, coupled with the factors of limited resources (HR, Budget and Facilities), also related to the commitment attitude of janitor in garbage picking and support factor of the community in the care of the surrounding environment
