Karakteristik Cbr Tanah Cl-Ml Distabilisasi Semen-Kapur Terhadap Siklus Rendaman Dan Pengeringan Sebagai Lapis Perkerasan Pondasi Jalan
Soil is a material that is very influential in construction work. Most areas in Indonesia have soft soil conditions. CL-ML classified soils have a condition that is vulnerable to the addition of water content, causing the soil during the dry season to be cracked while in the rainy season it easily becomes soft (melting) like porridge. This situation becomes a problem when construction works are carried out on the soil. Efforts to improve the soil are needed so that the soil becomes stable. This research focuses to cycle process of wet-dry toward soil mechanical characterize effect that stabilized by cement and lime. The wetting cycle is done by immersing the sample test in the water while in the drying cycle the test object is placed in a place that is kept moist. The study was conducted with three variations of curing that are without curing, 14 and 28 days of curing. The results show that the characteristics of the CBR value for the wetting and drying cycle have different values. The addition of lime and cement to CL-ML soils show a significant increase in CBR values. This increase occurred in mixed soils without curing by drying 3 x 24 hours the second cycle with a value of 2.63 times compared to the initial CBR value. The addition of lime and cement increased the highest CBR value on curing for 28 days of drying 3 x 24 hours of the second cycle by 125.12%.
