Penggunaan Jargon Dalam Acara Stasiun Televisi Trans Media

This study aims to discuss the form, function, and meaning of jargon contained in the Trans Media television program. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of documentation techniques and note taking techniques. Data analysis techniques in the form of transcribing utterances that include jargon words and sentences, identifying jargon used by television station presenters, classifying jargon based on form, function and meaning, analyzing jargon based on form, function, and meaning, describing jargon based on form, function, and meaning, and infer jargon based on form, function, and meaning. The results found that there were three forms of jargon, namely jargon in the form of 3 data words, jargon in the form of sentence 46 data and jargon in the form of pantun 1 data. The jargon function found identifies 31 data and the function reminds 29 data. The meanings found (1) 11 lexical meanings, (2) 5 grammatical meanings, (3) 32 referential meanings, (4) 1 associative meaning, and (5) 1 denotative meaning. So the jargon contained in the trans media television program shows that trans tv and trans 7 has its own form, function, and meaning.
