Korelasi Dimensi Ukuran Tulang Phalanx Proksimal Jari Tangan Dengan Tinggi Badan Berdasarkan Jenis Kelamin Pada Ras Mongoloid Usia 18 - 45 Tahun Di Provinsi Riau
Height is one of the data needed in forensic identification process of a remains that is difficult to identify in an incomplete condition in cases of accidents, killings, and natural disasters. Estimation of height can be determined by long bones of the body, one of which is proximal phalanx bone of the fingers. This study was conducted on 238 respondents (113 men and 125 women) in several places in Riau Province with age range of 18 - 45 years. Height and dimensions of the proximal phalanx of the fingers are measured to get the correlation value and linear regression formula of height based on sex. There are 6 dimensions of the proximal phalanx bone measured on the left and right fingers. The study design is cross sectional. The statistical test used is Pearson correlation to determine the correlation between dimensions of the proximal phalanx bone on fingers with height and linear regression analysis to determine height regression formula based on sex. The highest correlation coefficient (r) in male respondents is the length of the right middle finger proximal phalanx with a strong correlation strength, which is 0.583 (p
