Gambaran Disfungsi Ereksi Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Pada Beberapa Rumah Sakit Di Kota Pekanbaru
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to impaired insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that can cause complications that affect the entire body resulting death. One complication that can occur in patients with diabetes mellitus is erectile dysfunction. The aim of this study is to determine the description of erectile dysfunction of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at several hospitals in Pekanbaru. The type of research was descriptive cross sectional with consecutive sampling method. Erectile dysfunction examination using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) questionnaire. The study found 31 patients consisting of criteria for mild erectile dysfunction (16.1%), moderate erectile dysfunction (48.4%) and severe erectile dysfunction (35.5%). Characteristics of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients are most at the age of 60-69 years (35%), self employment (39%), and duration of DM ≤5 years (52%). The criteria for moderate erectile dysfunction were 50-59 years (25.8%), self employed (25.8%), and duration of DM ≤5 years (32.3%). From this study, it can be concluded that moderate erectile dysfunction is the highest form of dysfunction erection in type 2 DM patients in several hospitals in Pekanbaru..
