Analisis Parameter Kualitas Limbah Domestik Menggunakan Koagulan Dan Filtrasi Pasir Lambat
Domestic waste is water that comes from daily activities but does not include feces. filtration is like a filter that uses sand as a filter media that has a very small grain size and high quartz content. This research was conducted to analyze and compare the quality of domestic wastewater before and after filtration using coagulants and slow sand filters on Jalan Swakarya, Tampan Subdistrict, Tuah Karya Village, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. Observations were made by varying the coagulant mass, 9 gr, 12 gr and 15 gr. The filtration process aims to reduce the value of BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, pH and Turbidity. BOD, COD, TSS, and Turbidity values obtained after filtration decreased with increasing coagulant mass and TDS values increased with the addition of coagulants while the pH values obtained in this study ranged from 7.8 to 8.1, this indicates that the slow sand filter coagulation and filtration process works very well in raising the quality of wastewater.
