Pengaruh Campuran Kapur, Tawas Dan Poly Aluminium Chloride Dengan Dosis Yang Berbeda Terhadap Ph Air Gambut
In general, peat water has various acidity level water. To improve the quality of that water, addition of lime and coagulant such as alum and poly aluminium chloride is necessary. A research aims to find out a dose of lime, alum and PAC to improve water quality has been conducted in March-April 2019. Water samples were taken from the Wonosari Village, Bengkalis. There were 9 treatments applied namely 9 different dose of lime, alum and PAC : P1 (0,5 g lime ,0,17 g alum dan 0,63 g PAC), P2 (0,5 g lime, 0,34 g alum dan 0,56 g PAC) P3 (0,5 g lime 0,51 g alum dan 0,49 g PAC), P4 (0,5 g lime, 0,68 g alum dan 0,42 g PAC), P5 (0,5 g lime, 0,85 alum dan 0,35 g PAC, P6 (0,5 g lime 1,02 g alum dan 0,28 g PAC), P7 (0,5 g lime, 1,19 g alum dan 0,21 g PAC), P8 (0,5 g lime, 1,36 g alum dan 0,14 g PAC), P9 (0,5 g lime , 1,53 g alum dan 0,07 g PAC). A packet of the mixture was mixed with 1L peat water and was kept for 30 minute. The water quality was then checked. Results shown that the best mixed dosage was P2 because it increased the pH of the water. The pH of peat water was improved, from 4 to 6-9. Data obtained shown that the mixture of lime, alum and PAC was effective for improving the quality of peat water.
