Keragaman Karakter Morfologi Dan Agronomi Generasi M1 Hasil Iradiasi Sinar Gamma Kedelai Varietas Burangrang
This study aims to determine the value of diversity of morphological and agronomic characters of M1 generation of Burangrang variety and to find the level of diversity caused by gamma-ray irradiation treatment. Selected seeds with a germination rate of more than 90% in radiation at the BATAN Isotope Laboratory in Jakarta in April 2018, then the observations of the M1 generation were carried out by planting M1 seeds in the University of Riau's Experimental Farm from July to November 2018. The experiments were arranged in a randomized complete design with 4 replications. The rate of irradiation of gamma rays is G1 (100 Gy gamma rays), G2 (150 Gy gamma rays), G3 (200 Gy gamma rays), G4 (250 Gy gamma rays) and Burangrang as control plants. Some morphological and agronomic characters were observed from all individual plants in the field experiments. Afterward, the data were analyzed with ANOVA and LEVENE tests to find out the homogeneity of diversity. Gamma-ray irradiation on Burangrang seeds increases diversity in all agronomic characters except the number of pods and number of seeds per plant. Gamma-ray irradiation did not cause diversity in morphological characters, but caused mutants in leaf shape parameters with different morphological appearances, there are radiation doses of 150 gray, 200 gray and 250 gray each found one plant that had lanceolate, triangular and pointnted ovat. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to increase the diversity of soybean varieties Burangrang, can be carried out by gamma-ray radiation with a dose between 100 - 200 gray.
