Optimalisasi Nilai Kalor Briket Bioarang Kulit Buah Nipah Dengan Berbagai Bahan Perekat
Utilization from rind of nipah as raw material for making biocharcoal briquettes will reduce the energy needs of fossil fuels. So research needs to be done to make biocharcoal briquettes from rind of nipah with a various types of adhesive as alternative fuels. The purpose of this study were to find out the quality of biocharcoal briquettes from rind of nipah by mixed variations in the concentration of various types of adhesives, and to find out the optimal adhesive composition in making biocharcoal briquettes from rind of nipah. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with two factors consisting of six treatments and four replications. The results showed that only a few parameters that meets the criteria of SNI No. 01/6235/2000 were moisture and calorific value, while the parameters that did not meet the criteria of SNI No. 01/6235/2000 were volatile matter, ash content and fixed carbon. The optimal adhesive composition in the manufacture of biocharcoal briquettes from rind of nipah was on treatment of H2P1, it was the treatment of sago adhesive compositions with an adhesive concentration of 20% of the weight of the raw material mixture. With moisture 7.82%, volatile matter 66.43%, ash content 35.44% fixed carbon 17.50% and calorific value 5637.05 cal/gr.
