Komunitas Kupu-Kupu (Sub Ordo Rhopalocera) Di Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Syarif Hasyim Kecamatan Minas Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau
Natural community of butterflies is influenced by conditions of the habitat. Butterflies are member of insect that are active during the day and have bright colored pattern of wings. The study aimed to determine the butterfly community (Rhopalocera) in the Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park Minas District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This experiment used combination of two methods, namely direct trap and bait trap. Total butterflies obtained in this study was 457 individuals consisting of 33 spesies. The highest species diversity index (2,678) and included for medium category was found in riverine habitat, while the evenness index (0,963) was found in forest habitat. An abudance of butterflies that are most commonly fond in grassland habitat were 230 individuals. The highest number of butterflies species was found in forest habitat (19 species).
