Pembuatan Rangka Mobil Hemat Energi Tipe Tadpole
Energy Saving Car Contest or often referred to as KMHE is an annual car contest held by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (MENRISTEKDIKTI) in order to test the creativity of students in developing energy efficient cars for saving fossil fuels or electricity consumption. Therefore we need a framework that is strong and able to withstand the load given to the frame so that there is no fracture or bending at the frame.
The frame is one important part of the car that has a strong construction to withstand vehicle loads, all loads in the vehicle be it the driver, engine, steering system, electrical system, and all safety equipment is placed on the frame. Tad pole is a type of car frame that uses 3 (three) wheels, namely two wheels in front and one wheel in the back. Ladder frame is the earliest frame used around the 1960s, but until now there are still many vehicles that use this type of chassis, especially SUV type vehicles. The frame building process begins with the frame design by the Selembayung team, then the planning of the production process which includes the amount of material used, tools and materials used in the frame making process. Making the framework using the machining process and the connection of materials using arc welding SMAW.
