Identifikasi Potensi Limbah B3 (Oli Bekas) Sepeda Motor Sebagai Bahan Bakar Alternatif Motor Diesel
Used oil is residue from pure oil originating from various industrial activities and
machinery facilities. After used oil waste is converted into fuel without any
special treatment, used oil waste can be used as fuel in an internal combustion
engine (motor fuel). B3 waste (used oil) itself is one of the results of the
remaining lubrication on a machine. This research uses two methods namely
SWOT analysis and Quality Function Deployment. From the results of the SWOT
analysis processing is in quadrant one where the recommendations given are
Progressive (+, +) which states that the waste of used oil B3 is true that there is an
opportunity in the use of alternative diesel motor fuels that will have a positive
impact both in economic and environmental terms. Meanwhile, if according to the
results of testing the consumption of fuel between diesel and used oil obtained
results in terms of costs Rp. 2,532, - / kW for the use of diesel fuel, while for the
use of used oil fuel is Rp.787, - / kW which has a much lower cost compared to
diesel fuel.
