this reserach is aimed at finding out how the learning independence of boy/girl guide scout at SD IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru is. The type of this research is a descriptive research. The population was all the boy/girl guide scout i.e. 11-15 year old scouts at SD IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru 2018/2019. The writer employed saturated sampling as the sampling technique. The instrument in this research was students’ learning independence questionnaire, an observation while students learning in the class, and interviews with the scoutmaster of SD IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru. Based on the data processing results, it can be said that the learning independence of the boy/girl guide scout of SD IT Insan Utama 2 Riau is in the quite independent category.
