Kesantunan Berbahasa Antar Siswa Di SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru

This study to describe the speech of politeness and impoliteness of the students of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data in the form of student speech in the school environment. Data collection techniques through observation, recording, and note taking techniques. Data analysis techniques include transcribing recorded data, transliterating data, identifying and classifying data, copying into data cards, analyzing data cards, concluding. The results of the research showed that there was a maxim of wisdom maxim, maxim of generosity, maxim of praise, maxim of humility, maxim of agreement, maxim of sympathy.

Kata Kunci: politeness in language, politeness maxim, student's speech
