Komunikasi Instruksional Komunikator Robotic Education Pekanbaru Dalam Menumbuhkan Keterampilan Robotika Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Robotics community has increasingly developed now in Pekanbaru but less focused on children, whereas robotics is good for children's development. Robotics education institutions starting from elementary schools in Pekanbaru only one, namely Robotic Education (RED) Pekanbaru. In this case RED carries out instructional communication activities carried out every learning activity. The purpose of this study is to find out how the credibility of instructors, methods, media, and instructional barriers in Robotic Education Pekanbaru in developing skills about robotics in elementary school students.
This research belongs to quantitative research method by using purposive. The informants of this research were 4 instructors and 4 members at Robotic education Pekanbaru. The data collection technique was used by observation, interview and documentation. In order to get data validity in this research, the researcher used the extension of participation and triangulation.
The result of this research showed that the communicator’s credibility had seen from their expertise and trust. The expertise is seen from the educational background, robotics training that is followed as well as mastery of the material where all instructors have participated in robotics training both fischer technic and robotic dream. Trust is seen from the closeness between students and students do not hesitate to ask when something is not understood. The instructional communication method used is the drill method and assignments. The media used are visual media in the form of books and laptops, learning kit media and smartphone assistive media. Instructional communication barriers that occur are barriers to the source and psychological barriers. Barriers to resources that occur in the form of differences in experience and language barriers. While psychological barriers are due to attention or mood swings in children that also affect their desire to follow the lesson.
