Penerapan Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses Pada Pembelajaran Membaca Tabel Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kandis
Learning is a mandatory activity in the world of education. Learning is the process of activating life learning to learn. With learning, interactions between educators and students occur in the process of transferring knowledge. One of learning is learning to read. However, reading skills cannot be obtained just like that, but through a learning process. Because not all data is presented in the form of text and writing, sometimes the data presented is in the form of tables. From there, accuracy and seriousness is needed so that students are able to read every data presented correctly and accurately. To foster accuracy and seriousness in reading tables, you can use the Process Skills Approach as one method that can be used in learning. This approach emphasizes the process that stimulates students to generate interest in learning, so students are more focused in learning. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Kandis on 25-28 November 2019. This study only used an experimental class, not accompanied by a control class. The class that was the object of this study was class VII G of SMP Negeri 1 Kandis, totaling 32 people, but the research population was only 30 people because at the time of the study 2 students were absent, and the sample of this study amounted to 28 people. Data collection techniques used in the form of conducting tests with multiple choice questions as many as 20 questions. This test will be given before and after the treatment process process approach is given. The data analysis technique used is the Lilifors Test as a normality test, One Sample T Test, Chi Square Test, Independent Sample T Test, Mann Whitney Test, and Wilcoxon Test. The conclusion is the results of pre-test and post-test for Grade VII G students of SMP Negeri 1 Kandis are categorized as high. The results of the pretest and posttest students who came from elementary schools in the city were higher than those from the villages. And the post-test results of VII grade GSMP Negeri 1 Kandis students were higher than the pretest results.
