Penerapan Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses Dalam Pembelajaran Membaca Teks Eksplanasi Siswa Kelas XI MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru
The study aims to determine the effect of process skills approach to in learning to read explanation text grade XI MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The methoduse is a quantitative researchmethod with an experimental research model. The design of this research is one group pretest-postest design. Sampling techniques using simple random sampling. The population in this study amounted to 78 people and the sample obtained based on the calculation results was 65 people. Data collection techniques used in the form of conducting tests with multiple choice question as many as 20 questions. Tests are used to assess student’s reading skills. Data analysis techniques used the lilifors normality test and chi-square test, then tested the hypothesis using the one-sample test, one-way ANOVA, and two-way ANOVA. The results of the pretest and postest student influence from the application of the process skills approach in learning to read explanation texts of class XI Student MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.
