Kemampuan Menulis Teks Prosedur Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

This study discusses how to make the text of VII grade students of SMP N 2 Tebing Tinggi, Meranti Island Regency. The method used a quantitative research method. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The population in this study sere 129 people and the sample obtained based on the calculation result was 100 people. The data collection technique used consisted of conducting essay tests. This test is given and students are given a revision and then the student delivers the revised writing on the second day. Data analysis techniques used Lilifors Normality Test. Then Test one sample to understand the categories and scores of student writing abilities. ANOVA Unidirectional, to find out the classmate writing ability of students. The conclusion is the ability to write text for VII grade student of SMP N 2 Tebing Tinggi, Meranti Island Regency is high and the ability of class VII students of SMP N 2 Tebing Tinggi, Island Regency is the same.
