Gambaran Elektrokardiogram Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to impaired insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. One of the most common causes of mortality in people with DM is cardiovascular disease (CVD). Early diagnosis of CVD in type 2 DM is very important, for example, the ECG result. The purpose of this study was to determine the electrocardiogram result in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study used was a descriptive qualitative study using a cross sectional design. The sample taken is primary data which are ECG of type 2 DM patients taken directly and ECG interpretation performed by a vascular cardiologist. The data was taken with total sampling and 54 samples were obtained. The results showed that the prevalence of Type 2 DM patients in this study are aged ≥50 years (74%) and female (55.6%). Abnormal ECG results in type 2 DM patients who came to the study location are 16.7%. This study also found ECG results which are ischemic (7.4%), Right Bundle Branch Block (3.7%), myocardial infarction (1.9%), Ventricular Extrasystole (1.8%) and Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (1.9%). Conclusions: A large number of ischemic, RBBB, myocardial infarction, VES, and LVH ECG results were found in patients with type 2 DM.
