Gambaran Pasien Abses Ginjal Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Tahun 2013-2019

Renal abscess is an accumulation of pus that confined in renal parenchym. Renal abscess is a rare condition but with high mortality. The aim of this study is to identify the characteristic of the patients based on age, gender, clinical manifestation, risk factor and treatment in General hospital Arifin Achmad. The study is using descriptive analysis method based on patient's medical records. We were using patient’s data with total 12 sample collected. Results showed that the highest frequency in 46-55 years old (50%), and a female predominance of patients (66,7%). The common clinical manifestations are flank pain 91,7% and fever 66,7%. The common risk factors are diabetes mellitus 75%, and others such as urinary tract infection (58,3%), and nephrolitiasis (16,7%). Patients were receive antibiotics (50%) and combination of antibiotics and abscess drainage (50%). In conclusion, renal abscess is found commonly in female and patients with diabetes mellitus.
